Rocksalt does a number of technical things to make it easier for you to raise your visibility on LinkedIn with your target audience.
Because Rocksalt's methodology is centered around finding and engaging with relevant experts, some of the key technical items are:
• Calculating what fraction of an expert's reach overlaps with your target audience.
• Deciding which posts from an expert should be prioritized for you to engage with.

It's worth noting that Rocksalt does not use any of your data to train any AI models.
To use Rocksalt, you must have an email account, a LinkedIn profile, and you must be using Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser on your laptop or desktop.
The laptop/desktop requirement is because you have to install Rocksalt's browser extension. This is only available for Chrome and Edge browsers now, however in future we'll add support for Safari and other browsers.
Rocksalt's browser extension does two things:
• Provides guidance inline, when on LinkedIn.com, for better commenting.
• Checks various expert profiles periodically to see if they have new postings so that you don't miss them in your feed.
In order to check these profiles periodically, the extension runs in the background and uses your LinkedIn cookie. However, this cookie remains on your machine and is never on our server.
Please note that Rocksalt does not have access to your LinkedIn credentials (username or password). If you log out of LinkedIn at any time, Rocksalt's extension will automatically stop working. Finally, Rocksalt does not post any content on your behalf.
Yes you can! You can enter additional email addresses you wish to send your digest to, or even send them directly to a Slack channel of your choice.
Sales is not an ideal use case for Rocksalt. For sales, you often need to track hundreds of profiles, looking for all sorts of activity signals beyond posting.
Rocksalt is better suited to the marketing use case -- increasing your reach on LinkedIn. Then, when you get engagement from your target audience, you may want to use LinkedIn's Sales Navigator to engage and nurture these profiles.
